Important: Data Deletion

Deleting your account and data is permanent and cannot be undone. Please ensure you have backed up any journal entries or data you wish to keep before proceeding.

How to Delete Your Account and All Associated Data

To request deletion of your Intua account and all associated data, please follow these steps:

Contact Us

Send a deletion request using one of the following methods:

Provide Account Information

In your request, please include:

  • Your email address (if you provided one for launch notifications)
  • Your device type and iOS version
  • Confirmation that you want to delete your account and all associated data

Uninstall the App

After submitting your deletion request, you can uninstall the Intua app from your device. This will remove all locally stored data from your device immediately.

Confirmation

We will process your deletion request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email once your account and data have been permanently deleted from our systems.

How to Delete Specific Data Without Deleting Your Account

If you want to delete specific data but keep your account, you can:

Delete Journal Entries in the App

You can delete individual journal entries directly within the Intua app. Open the entry you want to delete and use the delete option. This removes the entry from your device immediately.

Request Partial Data Deletion

To request deletion of specific data types (such as email address, usage analytics, etc.) without deleting your entire account:

  • Contact us via our support form
  • Specify which data types you want deleted
  • We will process your request within 30 days

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently deleted:

  • Journal Entries: All your intuitive moment entries, including text, categories, timestamps, and notes
  • App Preferences: Settings, preferences, and customizations stored in the app
  • Email Address: If you provided an email for launch notifications or support
  • Usage Analytics: Anonymized usage statistics and performance metrics
  • Device Information: Device type, iOS version, and app version data
  • Support Communications: Any support tickets or communications related to your account

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Most of your data (journal entries, preferences) is stored locally on your iOS device. Uninstalling the app will immediately delete all locally stored data. We do not have access to this local data, so uninstalling the app is sufficient to remove it.

What Data May Be Retained

The following data may be retained for legal or operational purposes:

  • Legal Records: We may retain certain records as required by law, such as transaction records for in-app purchases (handled by Apple), for up to 7 years
  • Anonymized Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized analytics data that cannot be linked to your account may be retained for up to 24 months for service improvement purposes
  • Backup Data: If you used any cloud backup or sync features (if available), you may need to delete backups separately through your cloud service provider

Data Retention Period

After you submit a deletion request, we will process it within 30 days. Once processed, your account and associated data will be permanently deleted from our systems, except for data we are legally required to retain (as described above).

Data stored locally on your device is deleted immediately when you uninstall the app. We do not have access to or control over locally stored data once the app is uninstalled.
